Tonearm Privacy Policy
Tonearm is a Chrome extension that plays curated radio streams for focus and background listening.
Data collection
Tonearm does not collect, sell, or share personal data.
Tonearm does not collect:
- personal information
- analytics events
- listening history
- browsing history
- website content
- location data
- authentication information
- financial or payment data
- personal communications
Local storage
Tonearm saves a small amount of data locally in Chrome storage on your device, including:
- selected station
- default/favorite station
- volume
- playback state
This data stays on your device and is not sent to Tonearm or any Tonearm server.
Mac waitlist email
If you submit the Mac waitlist form on the Mac landing page, your email is stored in our database (Upstash Redis) and used solely to notify you when the Tonearm Mac app launches. We do not share, sell, or use this email for any other purpose, marketing or otherwise. You can ask to be removed at any time by emailing werbitsky@gmail.com.
Audio streams
Tonearm loads audio directly from third-party radio stream providers, such as SomaFM. Tonearm does not proxy, record, or analyze what you listen to.
Remote code
Tonearm does not use remote code. All extension code is packaged with the extension. Network requests are used only for radio audio playback.
